Funding
The UK Government is expanding their options for support with the costs of childcare and Harvey Bears is proud to offer funded childcare places to our local families.
From September 2025, eligible working parents with children aged from 9 months will be able to access 30 hours of childcare per week, over 38 weeks of the year. Alongside this there is a range of offers that your family may be eligible for, from the existing funded 15 hours for all families and up to 30 hours for working parents, to Tax-Free Childcare and Universal Credit Childcare.

Early years education and childcare like ours can support your child's social, emotional and cognitive growth, nurturing their overall development and complementing at-home activities. We offer a safe, nurturing environment with trained professionals who support your child's growth and help prepare them for school. Our sessions include a healthy morning snack and access to lots of fun and educational toys and resources. We do not charge extra for snacks or lunchtimes, but we do charge for any sessions attended over and above your funded hours. We may also ask for a contribution to the costs of any outings or trips, but any such requests would be made in advance and with full consent provided.
Please ensure that you have reconfirmed your Funding Code by 31st March 2026 in order to use the funded hours from April 2026.
If you are newly accepted for funding, again this must be confirmed by 31st March 2026.
Once you have your funding code, you will need to ensure you have completed the Funding form ASAP. This provides the nursery with the code and other essential information needed for us to be able to claim the funds.
